With the current economy, more people than ever are looking for an additional source of income. Many are turning to a network marketing or MLM opportunity. Unfortunately, a large percentage of them do not use the right criteria to select the best company to join. This results in them experiencing less success than hoped for, and many times, complete failure.

In order to define excatly what the Best MLM Opportunity really is, we need to understand Multi Level Marketing.

Multi-level marketing (MLM) is a marketing strategy where the sales force is compensated not only for their sales, but also from the sales of others that they recruit. This creates a hierarchy of multiple levels of compensation. The benefit of this business model is that anyone can join a MLM company and make a healthy income by firstly making direct sales of the product and secondly managing a team of reps that they recruit. A MLM Opportunity is stricktly a commission based business and only those who can make sales and teach others in their downline to do the same will be profitable and stay in business. Other terms used to describe a MLM Opportunity include Network Marketing or Referral Marketing.

A MLM Opportunity should not be confused with a regular Job.

People that work a job are trading time for money where a MLM Opportunity is leveraging your time to generate sales. This is possible becausde part of your downline’s time is used to generate income for you through sales they make. This type of leverage allows you to build a residual income while giving you more freedom in your life.

This is precicely why 100% of your time is not as effective as 1% of 100 peoples time.

Criteria For The Best MLM Opportunity

Each MLM Opportunity is different, but there are some criteria that should be considered when evaluating what the best MLM Opportunity is.

Team – When you join an MLM company, you also become part of a team. Network marketing is all about networking… both with prospects and other networkers. A good team will provide accountability and sharing of ideas. Offering a team atmosphere is a powerful recruiting tool, too. But a team is far more than just a group of people in the same business. A good team is built around and provides what I have determined to be the other essential criteria for choosing the best opportunity.

Training – MLM is a great way to make a living. But, you can only have success if you know what you are doing. The most successful business-building methods, especially on the Internet, are changing constantly. You need to be using the latest techniques and tools to have maximum success. Training should be delivered via several means such as webinars, conference calls, one-on-one mentoring, and live events.

Leadership -  We all need someone to show us the way. A good leader will provide encouragement, a positive influence, and help you become a leader, too. Team leaders are the ones you look to for support, motivation, and mentoring. A good leader will have years of experience and a record of success. Be sure you are partnering with a leader.

System – This is really the critical one. Nothing else matters if you do not have an easy to follow, easy to share system to build your business. Successful networkers need a system for both local and long distance methods of building a business. It is important that the system you use brands you rather than your company or team. A modern system that both beginners and experienced networkers can follow will be based on the principles of attraction marketing rather than purchasing leads or working your warm market.

Competition – External & Internal

• External Competition – How much competition is out there? Here we need to consider how many competing companies there are in the same market place. Think of how many companies are selling juice, health drinks, weight loss formulas. Are you going to be able to really show why your juice is better than all the others?
• Internal Competition – How is is the competition from within your company? How many reps are in your company. If you’re just starting out you may be loosing out to more experienced reps who “steal” your prospects just because you’re not acting fast enough. An even bigger problem though(especially offline) is rep saturation. If everyone in your town has already been exposed to your mlm opportunity you’re going to find it very difficult to break into the market.

Ease of Selling – While the above criteria are very important in choosing the best MLM Opportunity we also need to consider the product or service being distributed. Many people starting out in a MLM Opportunity fail to consider the following product criteria.

Let’s say you’ve found a shake that’s designed to help people loose weight. You feel it’s a great product and want to go ahead and make a living off it. Let’s look at it more closely.

• If you were aggresive in your marketing and were able to get in front of your target audience you could sell this product, but what are the chances you could sell enough to make a living.
• Weight loss shakes normally take 30 -60 days to start showing effects if any. You would have to be looking after your prospects for that period of time to win over customers. Think of how many samples you’re going to have to give away.
• What if the market you’re already talking to already use a weight loss shake. How easy is it going to be to convince your audience that your product is better? Many products of this nature are very close and you’re going to have a tough time winning over customers.
• How much do you make on personal sales? If you’re not making much on each sale why are you spending so much time convincing people?
• How much do you need to buy each and every month? 97% of people who start out in a MLM Opportunity fail and end up with a garage full of product they can’t get rid of.

If they weren’t you could just pick one out of a hat. The reason you’re in or are looking at a MLM Opportunity is because you feel it has the best chance of making you money. As Robert Kiyosaki says Network Marketing or an MLM Opportunity is the business of the 21st century.

Conversions online and offline are dependent on the company and products.

Some products are better suited to online marketing than others. Take juice for example. You need to get customers to “try” the product. Traditionally this was acheived with home tasting parties. How do you do this online?

Explosive growth online is about being able to “sell” to your audience. If you’re with a juice company you’de have to direct people to a party near them where they could try the product or send them samples to try themselves. This build in dely could be the difference between someone staying in the business or quitting.

You’re in business to make YOU money. Do you want to do it the EASY or the HARD way?

MLM Opportunity to make You Money

If you’re trying to build a business from home, wouldn’t it make sense to build a MLM Opportunity that was built for the Internet? A business where you didn’t have to have someone try or consume the product before hand?

This MLM Opportunity is the ONLY one I found that adheres to the above criteria and can do that. I’ll discuss it in more later.

Most reps have about 60 – 90 days to start making money. If after this time they’re not they look at what it’s costing them to stay in business. If it’s cheaper for them to just be a customer rather than a distributor they cancel their Autoship.

Retention of your downline is your key to longterm success.

Autoship is the monthly dues your distributors in your downline pay. This is where your residual income comes from. The more reps you have below you on autoship the bigger your residual income. If they start cancelling their autoship and are not making sales you’re in trouble.

This means that you have a small window (60 -90 days) to teach them to close new reps and make more sales.

Lets look at an example:

Say you’re in a juice company with a monthly autoship including tax and shipping at $145.00. Your autoship is build to have left over bottles at the end of each month that is to be used at tasting parties.

There is a 60 -90 day window for reps to figure out if they could make any money with this MLM Opportunity. When they figure out they cannot make enough sales to cover the autoship they only have two options. Either they stop the autoship and become a customer or they just cancel altogether.

Most people get into the business for the MLM Opportunity. If the MLM Opportunity is not working for them they need to decide if the product is really worth buying.

So deciding on the best MLM Opportunity for you, you need to look at what the chances are of you and your team stopping your autoship. If you and your team don’t sponsor a single rep or make any sales how long would it be before you cancel your monthly autoship?

This really comes down to if you wanted the product in the first place. If you would have bought the product in any case at the same price it just makes sense to be a distributor. I always shied away from a MLM Opportunity because I never found one where I wanted the product and would stay with the company if I made sales or not.

Then I found my best MLM Opportunity.

1. Competition from other companies and rep saturation
2. How easy is it to sell the product

2. I don’t have to convince people the value of assets. There is no delay to having someone try my product cause they already know what it is and why they want it.
3. I don’t have to convince people they want more assets in gold and silver. When I shoot videos there is not “eat it, where it, try it”. It’s already understood and this is why online marketing suits this company just fine. Offline parties will of course help conversions but I plan to dominate it online today.
4. Asset diversification and understanding what graded collectible silver and gold coins are worth in the past is all I needed to know.

Being in a couple of MLM Opportunities and figuring out the different niches and what really works online these 4 principles just stood out.
